Consistency: The Cornerstone to Wellness and Living
We all know that feeling. It is 6 am and the alarm goes off. What seemed a wonderful idea yesterday just seems impossible right now. That morning run or visit to the gym before starting work sounds confrontational instead of inspirational.
Sure, maybe that extra glass of wine or ice cream after dinner makes getting out of bed a little harder, but deep down you know this a big moment. If you are consistent today, you’ll maintain your fitness tomorrow.
But if you hit that snooze button? You’ll be left thinking you failed. Nobody likes that feeling, but it doesn’t need to be that way and it doesn't require a huge and dramatic shift to change it. Instead, it's one word: consistency.

To Open Your Door Is To Open Your Heart
The answer, it turned out, was not much. Sure, I’d help friends out, tell my family I loved them, and open the door for an aged person, but it was all within the confines of my safe little world. The bigger world picture was missing. I had no sense of community outside of the people I knew.
I’d read elsewhere that if you want to grow as a person, you need to step out of your comfort zone. I'm a people person at heart, so on the suggestion of a former work colleague, I signed up to be a volunteer mentor to a refugee. A measly six hours per month was the only commitment required.

An Angel On The Run – Miracle In Making
Have you ever participated in a miracle? Have you ever had the chance to perform a miracle that has impacted on someone's life? What about if a miracle is inconvenient? The Importance of Vision
Everywhere I looked, I saw this vision vacuum playing out. When vision is gone, there’s no momentum for movement. When we stop moving, whether individually or organizationally, death is imminent. That’s why there was such disarray and lack of control in the store. Vision is the glue that keeps things held together...

The Inconvenience of a Broken Heart
What if the big secret we're keeping from everyone is that Love doesn't matter. Being in love doesn't matter. Sure it's a nice feeling, it's wonderful, and intoxicating, and incredibly powerful but maybe it's not necessary or essential in a long-term relationship. Maybe faith is more important. Believing that something will last. And even as I write those words, I know that I don't really believe them myself.

My Big Purpose
Don’t know what to do with your life? Then pretend you’re planning your own funeral and write your own eulogy. This exercise will very quickly help you realise what you want to achieve in your lifetime.
I heard this quote last week and it made me think about, "what I want to do with my life"? I knew immediately it had to be "making a difference". But how am I able to make a difference? That then led to me contemplating, "what it is that inspires people". For me perhaps, it’s the little things, humble yet amazing, friends and family.
